Greetings from the Directors of the Mid-Atlantic DX & Repeater Association (MADXRA). If you’re a member, or interested in becoming one, we welcome you to your website.

What is MADXRA? The Mid-Atlantic DX and Repeater Association (MADXRA - prounounced "mah-DEX-rah") is a regional amateur radio club affiliated with the American Radio Relay League. Our orientation is strongly toward the social aspects of amateur radio, meeting once a month for dinner at various locations in our membership area.

We also often meet for breakfast on Saturday mornings. (Check out our Calendar.)

The membership area of MADXRA includes Maryland, Northern Virginia, Eastern West Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Our Frederick repeaters cover most of our membership area very well, and we offer Membership Area Dialing via autopatch using the K3MAD 2-meter and 1.25-meter repeater near Frederick.

MADXRA strongly supports the emergency communications aspects of the Amateur Radio Service through our repeaters, training classes, and active recruitment of Hams and non-Hams.

Most club business is handled by the Directors or by various Committees. Issues of concern to the Membership at large are voted on by Members via e-mail, US Mail, or during on-the-air meetings (club nets). We don't usually have business meetings.

MADXRA is a PROUD affiliate of HandiHams!
